1. Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC; Measurement ID: G-HTMWEF1XC4) to understand usage and improve the game and site.
Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as page views, interactions on the site, session information, browser and device information, approximate location, and randomly generated client identifiers. Collected information is sent to Google's servers and processed under Google's terms and privacy policy.
You can limit Google Analytics measurement by disabling or deleting cookies in your browser or by using Google's opt-out add-on.

2. Game and AI Processing
Computer-opponent thinking, rule evaluation, and local two-player game progression all run within your browser. Normal game content is not automatically sent to a game server. The site does not use login accounts, online multiplayer, or advertising SDKs. After a completed computer game, a game record may be submitted through the contribution feature described in section 4 only when you explicitly agree for that game.
3. Information Stored in Your Browser
This site stores your selected game mode, AI difficulty, first/second-player choice, and sound setting in browser localStorage. Only when you press “Record AI move,” it also stores up to 50 records containing the most recent board position, AI move, and AI search statistics in localStorage. These records do not include free-form text, your name, a device identifier, or a save timestamp. You can delete them using “Delete records” on the game screen or your browser's site-data controls. These AI diagnostic records are not automatically transmitted externally.
During a game, the game record is kept only in browser memory for that open game. Only when you press “Save game record” after the game has ended does the site save a JSON file to your device containing the initial position, confirmed move sequence, game settings, and result. A saved JSON file that you explicitly select in “Replay game record” is read only inside your browser for validation and replay; selecting it does not by itself transmit the file externally, and replay mode itself is not stored in localStorage. Game records are not automatically stored in localStorage and are not transmitted externally unless you choose the contribution feature.
A Service Worker caches game files so the site can also start offline as a PWA.
4. Optional Game Record Contributions for AI Improvement
In releases where “Send game record for AI improvement” is available after a completed computer game, the record is submitted only after you review the purpose and contents and press “Agree and send” for that game. There is no automatic submission, blanket consent, or background retry. Local two-player game records are not accepted.
A submitted record contains the initial and final positions, confirmed move sequence, result, game settings, human side, AI difficulty, AI generation and release ID, and related game metadata. The record does not add your name, email address, free-form text, a persistent user ID, Google Analytics client ID, AI search statistics, or a device fingerprint.
Cloudflare Workers, Turnstile, and R2 are used for submission and abuse prevention. Cloudflare may process connection information such as IP addresses as necessary to deliver the request and prevent abuse, but this site's collection Worker does not write the source IP address or Turnstile token into the stored game record or its R2 record metadata. The source IP address is used transiently for short-term rate limiting and server-side Turnstile verification.
Submitted records are checked for format, the standard initial position, individual moves, replay consistency with the rules engine, and duplicates before being stored in a private R2 bucket. Raw records are operated with a lifecycle rule that automatically deletes them after 90 days. R2 itself retains operational storage metadata such as an object's upload time, but this site does not add that time to the game-record JSON. Contributions are used for AI improvement such as investigating possible weaknesses, analyzing real-game positions, and identifying regression-test candidates; they are not used for user tracking or advertising. Because a submitted record cannot fully prove that it came from a natural human-played game, contributions are not automatically or unconditionally used as AI training data.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used for bot-abuse protection before submission. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to data processed by Turnstile.
